Tiny KittenWe met this kitten at a fall event this weekend. It's just two weeks old and the eyes had opened only a couple of days earlier. It was so tiny and cute, such a precious bundle. We didn't catch the darling's name but the owner said it was a rescue. I think it is still being bottle fed regularly, which is why it was out at an event.
Moby (Mixed Breed Cat)We gave him a forever home after his 4th trip to the SPCA 3 years ago. He likes to cuddle, climb trees, and do tricks.
Creo (Long Hair Black Cat)He found and picked me, the first week of September last year. He was in the parking lot of my apartment complex. I went to get into my friend's truck and he jumped up into the truck with us just meowing away. He followed me to my door and I took him in. My boyfriend told me no, due to the fact we already have a cat and he took him and put him back outside.
In Memory of Kitkat (Siamese Ragdoll Mix)I got her at 4.5 weeks old. She was a snow-tiger Siamese, her mom was a Ragdoll.
Oolong - What? It's Cold and I'm Old!We got Oolong from my parents almost 12 years ago now. 'He is getting up there in age, but he still loves to dart under beds in rooms he isn'''t allowed to go in. Much of his time is spent sleeping on his heating pad with his buddy Zero or hovering over the floor vent to stay warm.
PB Jelly (ThriftyFun Office Kitty)PB Jelly turned up in our front yard in August. She was very shy and although she would hang out in the front yard, she would only watch us from a safe distance. She loved to sit on our fence, just out of reach. Sometimes she would venture to our backyard to lay on the block wall, to sun herself.
Cupcake (Domestic Shorthair)We got Cupcake in 2005 as a rescue, she was a few years old at the time. She came straight up to my 1 year old daughter to get some love, so I knew she was the perfect cat for our family.
Zero the Remote StealerZero frequently sits like this and my husband couldn't help but put a remote control on him. :) He is a very large cat, weighing over 20 lbs, so we lovingly refer to him as the cow cat!
Jane (US Maine Coon)I got her 6 years ago as a rescue. She loves to roam in and out, roll around on the rug, and play with anything she can get her paws on.
Beached Cow CatOur cat Zero has been struggling with the unusually high temperatures that we are experiencing in Washington. His only relief is to splay out in the middle of the kitchen floor. Being that he is 20 lbs. of stubborn, he is a huge trip hazard, but at least he is cool. :)
Dizzy, Princess, and Tigger (Pet Cats)I got Dizzy 8 years ago from a friend, and got Princess 5 years ago from the same friend. Tigger is their baby, (Princess was not fixed like I was told she was...)
Shoebox Cat ToyI had seen photos of similar toys offered in catalogs and wondered if I could just make one! I cut a shoe box down a little so all the cats could reach in easily. I then drew circles on the lid and cut them out.
Use a Cat HarnessI have just recently moved into a senior's complex and do not like to let my cat roam on his own. He has never been on a harness before and quickly got out of any I tried.
Funny: Sneak AttackMy daughter and this little kitten were playing cat and mouse all day. My little girl could not figure out why her pants kept falling down. She would stand around swinging her arms, and the kitten would sneak up to attack her pants.
Make Your Own Cat PuzzleTake a throwaway plastic container and cut holes in the top just a tad bigger than what the cat can get it's paws through. Put wadded up balls of paper and a few cat treats the cat can dig out in it.
I made my own cat tree!Thank you so much for sharing your plans! This was my first project so I had to invest in tools, but I was looking for a good excuse to buy tools anyway. At first, I had a difficult time with this project because I wanted precision.
Recovered Cat ScratcherI recently purchased the Emery Cat Scratcher. After receiving it, my cats were not the least interested and I was worried they could accidentally pull a nail out. I tossed the cardboard insert and thought about how to reuse the scratcher.
Help with the Garden"Kitty, kitty what I pity, you don't help my garden grow. You climb and walk up flower stalks, to give us all a little show".
