Weird Looking CloudsThe temperature was about 40 degrees and we had a snow shower that lasted about 30 minutes. No rain or snow was in the forecast. Afterwards, these weird looking clouds appeared in the East as the snow showers moved in that direction. I had never before seen clouds that looked like this.

A Sheltering Place (Chinese Maple Tree)After what seemed like weeks of non-stop April showers, we had a rare sunny day. My husband and I grabbed our face masks and went to visit an arboretum at a local college. The school was closed due to the virus restrictions, but the arboretum was open to visitors. This Old House (North Carolina)Many times I have wished I had taken a picture of a building or an old house that is no longer there, especially old homes where I grew up. I look at this old house, that is still standing today, and wonder about the families that once lived there. I can just imagine them sitting around the fireplace or cooking on the old wood stove and enjoying a simple life, no TV, computer, phone, or the other luxuries we have today that make life so busy.
ProcrastinatorI wonder how old this tractor is. It has been sitting by this old church for as long as I can remember. Someone did a great job making a man to sit on it. I find it quite interesting and it attracts my attention every time I go past it.

Oh Canada! (Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada)This was taken near Sault St. Marie on Canada Day, July 1, 2017. The location was at the entrance of a nature park leading to a hiking trail. The mixture of the purple flowers with the wheat colored flowers and the trees in the background and a peak of the blue sky, gave a variety of interest to the photo.
Amish Country (Cashton, WI)While vacationing in Amish country near Cashton, Wisconsin, I saw this red winged blackbird perched on a fence posing long enough for me to snap a picture. We had just stopped at a stop sign and I took the picture from my car window! I like the simplicity of the picture and the Amish farm tucked away in the background. Both demonstrate the simplicity of the Amish way of life.
Fairy Garden (Okalasca, WI)While staying at a countryside farm bed and breakfast, this was our view. There was a fairy cottage on the property near this lily pond, so I like to call it a fairy garden. So beautiful and peaceful and green. At night we could hear a lot of chirping coming from the pond.

Seven Magic Mountains (Nevada)Here is a beautiful twist on nature. This is a free outdoor exhibit in Nevada called curated by Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone. This is called Seven Magic Mountains. These boulders were locally sourced and painted, then stacked about 35 feet high. The sun does a beautiful number on these colours, making them radiate against the subtle desert background.
Hidden Waterfall (White Haven, PA)I've been exploring the area. There is a dam and nature preserve nearby that looked inviting. I followed the road about 3 miles and saw a sign for a boat launch. I made my way down, but was disappointed that the water was low. Driving up toward the main road, there was this gorgeous waterfall that I hadn't noticed on my way down!

Rainbow in the SkyI attended a wedding at Kumbagana Game Lodge. When we arrived, there was a light drizzle. The wedding was an outdoor event, so the start of the wedding was delayed for a few minutes. Luckily, after a quick shower the rain stopped and a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky.
