Bear (Dog)Meet Bear. Hard to believe that a few short months ago he was abandoned at a kill shelter, with demodex mange, emaciated, and heartworm positive. Today he is the result of a loving rescue, a dedicated foster and finally, us the ones blessed enough to adopt him into our family forever!

Angel (Miniature Poodle)Angel is a 2 year old miniature poodle. A lady had her listed in the paper and needed to find a good home. She had got her when she was 8 weeks old, and within 3 weeks the dog hair bothered her son, who has asthma.

Peanut (Basset Hound)Peanut is a 6 year old Basset Hound. We got him when he was 8 weeks old. He likes to go for walks. He follows our son around everywhere.
Tiger (Cat)Tiger is four years old. My daughter got her as a kitten, and could not keep her when she moved. She loves to sleep! This was a picture I took of Tiger while she was "grooming" herself. It looks like she was being goofy for the camera!
Peanut (Mayo-Yochon Mix)After we lost our Basset Hound, Willie, I was sure I would never agree to another dog. Then I met Peanut. With his beautiful brown eyes and playful nature, he is a perfectly adorable mix of his parents, a Yorkie/Maltese mix and a Yorkie/Bichon mix.

Rocky (Wild Burro/Donkey)Rocky is ten year old BLM wild burro/donkey. Rocky's human dad passed away and his human mom had to rehome him due to selling of the other equines. He needed a buddy!

Copper (Bloodhound)Copper is a 3 year old Bloodhound. He was given to us by our Home Depot delivery guy, when we were building our house, Copper had outgrown their home! He loves to play fetch! He hangs out on the fence whenever we are outside. He can't stand to miss anything!
Jasper (Dog)We just recently put our 13 1/2 year old Lab to sleep and were quite lonely without him. On Valentines Day. my husband decided to surprise us by getting this cute little guy.
Norman (Jersey Cow)Norman is a 2 and a half years old Jersey. We were visiting a local farm to buy some homemade cheese and went on to the barn to see the calves. My husband fell in love with Norman and went to ask the farmer if he would sell him.
Mia and Triinu (Boston Terriers)Meet Mia and Triinu, aged 5 years and 2 years respectively. Mia was "inherited" from an old roommate. Triinu was adopted from a breeder. They really enjoy playing with each other.
Blondie (The Wonder Dog)Because Blondie is a "shelter-baby" we do not have a definite age; however, the vet thought she was between 5-7 years old when she became a member of our family. Based on that information she is approximately 15+ years.
Adult Pads as Alternative to "Puppy Pads"Most everyone I know owns a pet. They can be expensive but I try to cut corners and save where I can. There is nothing like the unconditional love of an animal. I rescued my dog on what was, to be her last day.

Daisy (Burro)Daisy is my 8 year old BLM (Bureau of Land Management) standard donkey/burro. I got her 2 years ago, as a rescue. She was living in a 12x12 foot pen for two years, I couldn't leave her there!

Charlotte (Bernese Mountain Dog)Charlotte is 3 months old and a Bernese Mountain Dog. We got her at 8 weeks old from a breeder in VA. She likes to catch flies and chew on shoes.
Panda (Bluetick Hound/Border Collie)Panda is a 3 year old part Bluetick Hound and part Border Collie. He was the runt of one of our litters, my husband had two Redbone Hounds that were about a year old and they had him outside tossing him in the air, he was terrified.
Merlin (Maine Coon Mix)Merlin is 5 years old. We believe that he must be at least part Maine Coon because he is the largest cat that I have ever seen. I have also heard that they are very calm and sweet and laid back.

In Memory Of Freckles (Husky-Shepard)Freckles lived to be 16 years old. She was a Husky/Shepard mix. We were there the moment she was born and we loved her from that very second. She was so intelligent and so loyal. She was loved by all young or old.

Snuggles (Poodle and Pom Mix)Snuggles is 19 years old and is a mix of Poodle and Pom. My only son just went away to college and I was so lost and alone. Snuggles was only 3 weeks old when his Mommy passed away. I was asked by a friend if I'd take care of him while they were away.

Charlotte (Piglet)Charlotte is a 1 1/2 year old Piglet. We have a small farm and raise pigs, rabbits, goats, and have dogs, a snake, and a turtle. Piglet likes to chase and play with the other pigs. She also loves when the kids go in her pin and play "tag".

Cabbit (American Shorthair)Cabbit is an 8 year old solid white American Shorthair cat. In April 2001, I found him on the side of the road where there were no other cats or houses around. He looked to be about 3 or 4 weeks old (very small.)
Bumper (Himalayan)Bumper is a year old Himalayan. We took Bumper in at 8 weeks old, from a breeder. She was going to be euthanized because she was born with no eyes. The breeder felt she would not be sold, or have a quality of life.
Ghost (German Shepherd/Siberian Husky)Ghost is a 13 month old German Shepherd/Siberian Husky Cross. I got him about 8 months ago from an animal shelter in Michigan. Ghost likes to eat, play fetch, and wrestle. He talks and carries on conversations with me and loves to snuggle.
Diseal (Golden Retriever/Labrador Mix)Diseal is a 9 week old Golden Retriever/Lab mix. I found him on cragislist and fell in love with his cute face. He love to eat Starbucks and play with the kids out side.
Ralphie (English Pointer)Ralphie is a 1 1/2 year old English Pointer (friend quality). We got him in October of '07 when my husband's dog passed away. They'd been pretty close even though "Puppy" lived outside. They hung out together a lot.
Simon (Ragdoll Mix)Simon is a 3 year old Ragdoll mix. This is our cat Simon that we saved from being put to sleep at the animal shelter. He was only a tiny little fluff ball then and he grew up into a big fluffy boy.

Pierre (Dalmatian Mix)Pierre is 6 months old and a Dalmatian mix. We rescued Pierre from Dallas City Animal Shelter in June 08. He was 3 months and very shy. Now he is outgoing and loves to play.

Gizmo (Domestic Shorthair)Gizmo is 7 years old. She is a domestic short hair. I found my wonderful Gizmo on August 31, 2001 when my mare gave birth to one of my fillies. Gizmo was standing underneath my mare between her legs trying to stay dry in the rain that day. Gizmo was about 3-4 weeks old and nothing except bone.
In Memory of Taffy (Yellow Lab)This is Taffy. We named her because of the colour of her coat. Taffy lived to be 15 years old. She passed away about 6 years ago. She was a yellow lab.
