Fall Flowers in Irish Beleek VaseBeleek is a well know pottery produced in Ireland, with shamrocks on it. My geraniums are blooming in the fall now, and there also is a sprig of sage in the vase. We love the neon colors of the geraniums in this vase. They are almost unreal, and we love Beleek pottery. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
Holiday: Merry CrabmasThis may look like a star with white lights, it's actually, 2 open old crab cages. I saw these at a resale shop, not thinking of using them for crabbing, but immediately saw that these old cages when open formed a perfect star.
Our Annual Christmas CardWe always take a holiday photo at Christmas. Here is ours for this year. This is my husband and I who are almost 70 years young. We enclosed this with our Christmas cards and it says:
Christmas Tree with Homemade OrnamentsIn 2000, I remade some of the older ornaments and then headed for Alaska, sure I would be back way before the 2001 Holiday Season. Then life happened and it was another 10 years till I was where I could have a tree and use the ornaments again.

Halloween: Dalmatian SleeperMy mom got my son this outfit, I think it's a sleeper, but my son wants to play dress-up and is excited for Halloween so I put it in him one night to try it on.

Holiday: A Valentine Heart in a TreeSince Valentine's day will soon be here I thought I'd submit this picture of a couple of trees in my back yard. If you look in the middle between the two trees, upper right, you will see a heart shaped from the branches and needles.
Holiday: Blooper BannerI bought this banner on sale for my husband's Christmas party when it was our turn to be the hosts. I didn't even look at it while I was hanging it: I just taped it up on the wall and then starting doing other things.

White ChristmasThis was our white Christmas this year in Western N.C. It snowed for more than 10 hours. We got 9 inches of heavy snow. It tied a record going back to 1947. The neighborhood kids were quite busy making snowmen and the usual snowball fights.

Holiday: Thrifty Christmas DecoratingI'd like to showcase my home for the Holidays. Its small and cozy. Each room has been redone by me. On the tree are some hand made ornaments. I used a tree we cut down. I dried the wood cut it like disks.
Holiday: Front Door Christmas CrossWe have had this particular door for years and I noticed that it had a "natural" cross in it. Well, this year, I decided that I would work with that natural cross for my outdoor decoration.

Halloween: Back Yard Haunted HouseMy wife and I are both big fans of Halloween and each year we go all out to scare the neighborhood kids. This year we used sheets of plywood to build wall in our backyard to create a haunted graveyard setting. We scared a lot of kids and their parents.
Halloween: Little WitchMy baby girl's first Halloween. She is just the cutiest thing in the world! She had lots of fun and lots of candy. I hope she doesn't lose any teeth, that wouldn't be so cute! LOL!
Halloween at Cross Roads Village (Flint, MI)These pictures are of my great-grandchildren on a trip to Cross Roads Village, a 1865 village in Flint Michigan. Everyone goes trick or treating no matter how old. It is a lot of fun!
Halloween Pet Costume: Minnie MouseThis costume was made by reusing several things we had on hand. The skirt was from a Poodle Skirt Girl Costume. We cut the top attached shirt and vest off and used just the skirt. The t-shirt was one we already had at the house.

Easter Bunny EarsNot living close to our grandchildren, we send their Easter treats. Last year our youngest grandson Brady, was too young to really understand, so I had fun stuffing it with things I thought his folks, brother and sister would think were cute.

Craft: Gingerbread HousesHere is a great tradition that our family has been doing for years now. It all started about 50 years ago when I decide to make a gingerbread house for Christmas. My first ones were fairly simple but over the years have gotten more complicated and quite intricate. Now, as was bound to happen, the kids and grandkids and even my great grandson have taken over.

Halloween Costumes At WorkHere are the people at my work that came in costume! Fun stuff! I'm on the end in the bowling ball costume, made from hula hoops and 13 gallon yard bags. Cheap and easy! (Just carry around a couple of bowling pins from a children's bowling set.)
Individualized Carved PumpkinsThis is the jack-o-lantern that I carved for my 8 month old son. It is a real pumpkin and was hand carved using only wood carving tools and a rotary tool. My family and I carved an additional 4 pumpkins the same way, each to reflect on the persons interests.
Valentines Through The YearsThis is a collection that my husband has made for me for Valentines Day for a number of years. We've been married 57 years so you can see the romance has not gone out of our marriage.
