Penny (Dachsund), 10 years young!Penny is a black and tan dachshund. She was the runt of her mother's second litter in August '95. We had both her mother and father and since we had to bottle feed her puppy milk we had to keep her!
She enjoys walks in the local park!

Chopper (Pitbull)The puppy is one that is from one of my pitbulls. I am a breeder and his name is Chopper. If these dogs are raised right there as sweet as any other dog. He's a male and six weeks old. He was from a litter of ten, 8 boys and 2 girls. I am hoping he will be accepted as a guide dog for the pitbull program for the disabled.
Jake (Leonberger)Our Leonberger Jake on his second birthday. Jake was born with severe hip dysplasia and had two major operations a year ago to reseat his hip joints. Without them he would have been dead by now - unable to get up. As you can see he is a happy happy fellow, full of fun.
Tough Guy - Yumas (Labrador Retriever)This is our new family addition, YUMAS. He is a cute little lab. He thinks he's a tough guy.

Lucky (Labrador Retriever X)Lucky was a dog that someone had evidently dumped out at the elementary school where I teach. Everyday she was there and the kids shared their lunches and played with her. She would be so sad when recess was over and the kids lined up to go inside!
Lance (Lab X - A New Family Member)Last week Sasha, Silver and Steel received a new "brother" named Lance. Of course Lance was found in a shelter in Sacramento. He wasn't feeling well and able to be released to him new home right away. My daughter-in-law and son went to visit and work with Lance after work to get him ready for his new family. He is so sweet and a great addition to the family. I thank the ThriftyFun family for the wonderful comments on this family of pets. You are all special to me!

Taco, Our BabyTaco is our baby. She is 4 years old and spoiled rotten. She wants to go everywhere with us including church. We have a bed in our truck for her when we go and that is where I took this picture of her sleeping in her bed.
Rusty and Sam (Terrier ?)This is Rusty a mix of terrier and ?. He and his brother Sam were dropped on a road leading to our house which is on a dead end. He and his brother are the best. Rusty especially guards he will scan the whole front yard all day from this bench on the front porch.
Mocha (Mixed Breed)My pet's name is Mocha. She is a 6 month old mixed breed. I got my pet when a man came to my job at a gate house and said he was going to put her to sleep. So I took her. My dog likes to play a lot by chewing on her bones and my other pomeranian. She also jumps a lot around the house and looks like a jumping bean most of the time.

This summer Zeus got a baby sister named Boba. She is a black lab and is keeping Zeus very busy.
Buddy, Our New Found FriendOur new dog was found on a busy street. No tags, collar or chip. We put up flyers and sent one to the local pound. No one has claimed him after 35 days, so we have named him "Buddy". He doesn't like frozen dog food or treats, dog biscuits, dry or canned food. He really likes chicken. He doesn't know how to play. No balls or chew toys or rope/sock tugs. He likes to go for walks/car rides and for people to rub his chest. He doesn't like cats. But is good with kids and other animals. He is a good little guy, and we have fallen in love with him.

CoCo Loves Her BoneCoCo loves her bones, especially at Christmas Time when she gets a really big one. The small ones only last a few minutes but bigger bones can last a few days. CoCo lives with her sister Moxie, and they are 2 sisters from a family of 11 live births. They were adopted from the Animal Shelter in town. Belgium Malinois is her main blood line but there could be more to her. She loves to be loved.

I adopted Shep as a 3 year old (could NOT have asked for a better dog!) - and I recently adopted Adria as a two month old puppy. Shep loves to help me around the barn, to accompany me while horseback riding, and to play! (Frisbee is his favorite!) Adria loves to rough house, to play with any toys possible, explore, dig holes, and cuddle.
