Upcycled StoolIn our neighbor's trash with a broken leg. Cost of project: free. I had fabric and paint and glue on hand and it looks like a new stool for my shabby chic bedroom I have been decorating. If I hadn't snatched it, it would have gone to the dump!
Dry Paint Distressed BuffetBought this vintage buffet for $60. I wanted to try out a different type of "distressed" paint look and found this interesting method called "Dry Paint Distressing".
Dresser UpcycleHere is another dresser upcycle. I picked this up for $40 at a yard sale. There were marker scribblings all over it, so I decided to paint it to go into a room I was re-decorating. It is painted to match some of the other pieces of furniture I have in the room.
Upcycled Wooden TableI got this table for free and upcycled it for about $5. (I already had basic supplies of paint, brushes, stain, varnish, and sandpaper. The only things I purchased was the vinyl and a small bottle of acrylic craft paint.) The top was not wood, but the legs of the table were, so I decided to do a combination of wood, paint, and vinyl for the top. It turned out rather unique!
Distressed Finish StoolThis project involves using a "wash paint" technique to make a distressed look on furniture.
Double Distressed Farmer's TableAlthough this table was already distressed, I distressed it again using the "wet" method for distressing.
Boxy to Shabby Chic CabinetThis was a boxy looking little cabinet with drawers and I wanted to upcycle it to make it look shabby chic. So this is what I did. I found the cabinet set out for trash pick up, but didn't know what it was or what to do with it. After a couple of months, we came up with this idea for storing my daughter's Bath and Body Works collection!
Decalicious Dresser MakeoverThis was an unwanted, inexpensive dresser someone had set out in front of their house. I took it home and decided since it was free, I could be a little adventuresome with it. And this is what my husband and I did!
Sew Pretty Sewing Machine RestorationAfter receiving this 1938 Singer sewing machine and cabinet from a friend, my husband and I took on the restoration project together to put our "stay-at-home during COVID 19" to good use!
