Lightening a Dark LipSince I am Asian, I have always had a problem with my lips, especially on the borders. One thing that I have found to be effective is petroleum jelly.
Homemade Lip PlumperIf you want to make your own lip plumper, add a bit of cinnamon or cayenne to petroleum jelly and apply. Of course, without additives, petroleum jelly is great for lips, too.
Natural Lip PlumperPut your lip balm into a small bowl, add 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper and mash with a spoon. Sprinkle a little cinnamon over the mix; mix well. Then put your lip balm back into it's container.
Lip Stain and PlumperPut 1 teaspoon of lemon berry drink mix and 1 teaspoon of lemonade into a bowl. Sprinkle a little water until drink mix is dissolved, then stir in 3 teaspoons of vaseline until smooth.
Homemade Flavored Lip GlossTo make chocolate gloss, use equal parts of shortening and Vaseline. Melt in your microwave using only short increments of time as not to overheat. Heat only until melted. You can also do this in a double boiler. Then stir in cocoa powder to taste.
All Natural Lip ScrubHere comes the cold weather! Time to keep those lips chap-free and beautiful. I've been using this two-ingredient method ever since I was in college and found an article about it in a beauty magazine.
Mix Leftover Lipstick With VaselineThis is a make up tip. You can purchase a little plastic container in the sample/travel section of your favorite grocery or drug store and then put the last bit of your lipstick in it with some Vaseline.
