Cross in a Pocket ProjectThis is a cute little reminder that anyone can carry. It is simple enough for children, but also interesting enough for grown-ups. It should take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.
Embroidered PhotographyThis three dimensional craft was quick and easy and fun to do.
Counted Cross Stitch Shadow BoxFor those who have never done counted cross stitch, here is a simple counted cross stitch picture which uses a shadow box and is three dimensional. Because counted cross stitch is so time consuming, I added the little figurine in the corner so I would have a lot less of the counted cross stitch pattern to fill up the space! The wording is fairly quick but the floral part is more time consuming. This would be a good beginner project.
Ribbon EmbroideryA twist on embroidery using ribbon. I love how it turned out.
Eight-Pointed Star Thread ButtonAll you need to make this button is a shampoo bottle cap or just a piece of hard plastic, string, and a piece of wire. I used wire from a damaged transformer. As you can see, it will cost you almost nothing, but you will get this very original button.
Personalized Needlepoint BookmarksDon't throw away those small pieces of leftover canvas. Instead, make personalized needlepoint bookmarks. I am making some for my grandkids.
Personalized Cross Stitch BookmarkUsing leftover cross stitch fabric, you can make personalized bookmarks. I chose this ASL pattern symbol because my daughter recently graduated with her Associate Degree as an ASL interpreter.
Plastic Canvas Christmas StarsA package of 10 plastic cross stitch star patterns cost me about $2. I was given a bunch of yarn and I made up my own patterns. I did all ten at once.
