Plastic canvas cross project.

Cross in a Pocket ProjectThis is a cute little reminder that anyone can carry. It is simple enough for children, but also interesting enough for grown-ups. It should take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.

The completed cross stitch.

Counted Cross Stitch Shadow BoxFor those who have never done counted cross stitch, here is a simple counted cross stitch picture which uses a shadow box and is three dimensional. The completed Eight-Pointed Star Thread Button

Eight-Pointed Star Thread ButtonAll you need to make this button is a shampoo bottle cap or just a piece of hard plastic, string, and a piece of wire. I used wire from a damaged transformer. As you can see, it will cost you almost nothing, but you will get this very original button.

Variety of star patterns completed.

Plastic Canvas Christmas StarsA package of 10 plastic cross stitch star patterns cost me about $2. I was given a bunch of yarn and I made up my own patterns. I did all ten at once.
