Asian Lilies (Stargazer)I planted these lilies in 2011. The first year they came up, but didn't bloom. Last summer I got this bloom. It lasted about a week. I also have yellow and orange day lilies and white Asian lilies. I can't wait for them to bloom this year.

Iris Bed on the Path GardenWe are working to make a new iris bed on the "Path Garden". This spot was damaged some by the renters in the house next to this short wall. So we've decided to add some donated tiles to make it a home for bearded iris.
Braid Bulb Leaves After FloweringIt may not be pretty, but it is neater while nature stores energy in the bulbs for next year's flowers. Loosely braid the leaves of drying bulbs for easy removal after they are dried. Bulbs need to store energy through the leaves.
Heaven SentI was taking pictures of flowers at our local park. It wasn't until after I had downloaded the images onto my computer, that I noticed this flower looks like it has a cross behind it!
Calla Lilies in BloomThe calla Lilies are in full bloom. Mock orange and white rugosas are perfuming the yard. After a rain it is particularly fragrant around here. These calla lilies seem to thrive in moist, rich soil, and full sun. They almost look like a sculpture, inspiration for a glass blower.
