Strawberry BedLooking forward to growing these in our winter garden.
Spilling Wheelbarrow Garden PlanterHere is a "spilling wheelbarrow" I made, using coleus. It was easy to make and can be used for years.
My Succulent TrollI saw this tip in a magazine. I bought my lovely troll on eBay then followed the instructions to plant succulents in her head. A good pull removed the ball of her hair to begin with. Then I packed the head area with some compost.
Washing Machine Tub Tomato PlantersI recently took care of my neighbors' kitty and garden while they attended an out of town wedding. The tomato plants growing in these recycled washer tubs were doing so well I wanted to share this planter idea with the members.
Old Fountain into New PlanterOur old southwest fountain finally "bit the dust" and no longer held water. Try as we would, it could not be saved. So we decided to fill it with dirt and added some plants and a bird nest to add interest to the front yard. We always try not to add to the landfill.
Tipsy Flower Pots (The Path Garden)I had been wanting to make on of these planters for The Path Garden for a couple of years. Just hadn't gotten around to it. The 99 Cent store had the clay pots so I got 5 and asked DH to go get the rebar for it.
Garden: Fish PlanterThis interesting fish planter adds nice appeal to our open carport. I love to fill it with emerging colorful plants and running greenery! It's fun using annuals so that the look changes a couple times a year!
Garden: Movable Garden (Lewiston, NY)This is our front door moveable garden, in my garden.
Cowgirl Boot PlanterThis is the other worn out boot from our great granddaughter. The birdfeeder mate was sent in earlier. I love it that she is already recycling her things.
Succulents In Recycled ContainersI love to collect tiny containers (bought from thrift shops) for my succulent collections; if I see an interesting shape (plastic animal mugs, etc.) I drill drainage holes in them and fill them with succulents.
Chair PlanterThis is an wooden chair that's seen its last days, so I decided to make a planter out of it by boxing in the seat part of the chair with some scrap wood then filled it with soil and plants.
Planting Flowers in an Old WheelbarrowMy wheelbarrow garden decor. Hope you like it!
Patio Tomato BenchI used an old bench that no one could sit on and sat my potted tomato plants on and around the bench. As they grow, I can tie them to the bench for support. I have red, yellow and black cherry plants, so I am hoping for a little color also.
