Recipes for Convection Ovens?Does anyone have a good step-by-step recipe for a counter top convection oven? I acquired mine without a booklet and the first time I tried to make a cake, it came out with a "Bob's Big Boy" curlicue on top, and it was icky dry. Cookies were crispy outside, but wet on the bottom (too high a temp. probably). So far, I've used it to make jerky and beer can chicken, but I'd love to branch out. Help.
Using L'ovenware On Glass Top Stove?I've just acquired a set of L'ovenware, consisting of saucepans, bowls and lids. It's amber glass cookware. I've looked for the company but I don't think they are still in business. Has anyone ever used them on a glass top stove? Do you have any hints or suggestions? Dealing With Weeds in My Lawn in the Fall?Are there any lawn and garden aficionados that can help this city girl keep up with the Jones'? I'm losing my grass to weeds. It seems to have stopped its summer growth, or at least slowed down in the last few weeks. I found a missing (unopened) bag of lawn food / weed killer in the garage. If I sprinkle some on now, will my poor neglected lawn suffer, or be better for it? The temp right now is mid 70's - high 60's. Would I be better off waiting till early spring?
Olive Oil That Tastes Like Olive Oil?Do any "foodies" out there know of an olive oil that tastes like OLIVE oil? All the companies seem to be advertising a "light" taste. I'm looking for something with an unmistakable olivey flavor, even better if it doesn't cost a fortune.
