Hi, my name is Jo. I'm an "empty nester." Our collective five kids (his one son I call mine, plus the four I brought into the marriage) are all making their own lives. My hubby Dwight and I live in a small ranch-style home with our three dogs. There's Caesar, our English Mastiff, Tigger, our mutt, and Princess, our American Bulldog. I'm the "penny pincher" in the household, and I sometimes fight a losing battle to keep hubby from overspending!
I don't make a big deal of it, but I'm almost totally blind. A drunk driver hit my car head-on in February 2003, and the resulting blood loss to my brain wiped out most of the vision center in my cerebral cortex. I thank God daily, He left me my intelligence. Nothing could steal my faith!
