Water from Well Staining Everything?I recently purchased a home that has a well water. It has a nasty sulfur smell and anywhere the water has touched is rusty and tarnished. I am having to learn to do housework all over again at the age of 48! I am lost. I have no idea of how to clean anything as my old ways are now gone.
Ideas for My Sad Pine Tree?Last summer I thought I "saved" a vermont pine tree that had decided to grow in a huge rock thats on my lawn. I transplanted it into a pot and it seemed to be doing well, now I've brought it in due to the severity of winter up in the northeast kingdom (5-6 ft snow) and now it seems unhappy.
Frugal Ideas on Making Wild Bird Feeders?We have purchased a bird feeder, and now find that there are too many birds. We dont mind buying the feed, it's the feeders that make us cringe! The type we need is over $70! So i thought maybe someone may have an idea of making my own. I dont think the wild birds would mind my frugality!

Cooking Cake for Two?I'm have a quandry about baking a cake for two. My thoughts are to down size the 8 in pan as to cut the cake in half. Is there anywhere i can find a 4 in pan for round cakes? giggle--I keep thinking of my old easy bake oven and wish i had those pans now! My children are all grown up and I only want a round cake miniaturized for two! If anyone knows a place where I can purchase mini cooking pans, i would surely appreciate it. Kate
