I am looking to make cross stitch placemats with loose ends. I am looking for the method to do this, please let me know if any of you have the method. Thank you.

You can use a piece of burlap and fray the edges. Draw your pattern on a piece of graph paper to get an idea of how it will look when you stitch it.

Cut 6 fabric fronts, 13x18 inches. Cut 6 fabric backings, 13x18 inches. Cut 6 pieces, 13x18 inches, of interfacing. Layer placemat pieces front and back facing together and interfacing on top (see photo), pin in place.
