Our new bed frame is black and we switch between grey and brown sheets/comforter throughout the year. I am getting ready to paint our walls, but am not sure which color will look decent with either comforter set.
I have just decorated my bedroom and have painted it a light cream (Dulux natural calico). Then I painted my chimney and bed wall a copper patina effect (Craig and Rose paint). So it's basically copper with a turquoise kind of pattern that I've made over some of it. You can see a photo of what it should look like on their site. It is meant to look like a rust effect.
I have a few grey pieces in the room such as a light shade and storage box and I painted my furniture navy. I have no idea what colour curtains to go for? I thought navy, then maybe grey or black with a gold pattern. I have no idea and need help. I spent a lot of time with the paint and I want the rest to come together. Thank you for any help given.
I have tri colored tan carpet in my bedroom with other oak wood. What would be a good color choice to make my room appear larger and brighter?
I live in a mobile home, and I want to repaint my kitchen. My cabinets are light brown and my counter tops are a plum color. The walls are vinyl wallpaper that you paint over and they have like grape looking stuff on wall. What color should I paint it?
I want to change the color of my bedroom. My bedroom furniture and bedroom set is black and the carpet I got is white, but I don't know what colors will look nice on the walls. I was thinking probably of painting the ceiling white and two walls gray and two burgandy. Can you help me please?
That actually sounds really good. YOu could do without the burgundy and have a great thing going with just the monochrome, especially since your furniture matches - and you can add things like black, white, grey, chrome, etc.
Silver would look sweet too
What color should I paint walls to go with a cream color canopy bed? It is a fairly small room and the entire house is dark, but I want to lighten it up to make the room appear larger.
I have a bedroom with a black bed and black and gold bedding. What colour should I paint my walls?
Pale gold for the walls, but you need an accent color--something restful. Greens and blues and other pastels are considered restful, but I am not sure--a golden peach maybe.
What colour goes well with maple and white bedroom furniture? I am slightly colour blind, so I really need help. I am revamping the bedroom with a fitted wardrobe.
I have a feeling members will have a field day with this question. They are so many ways to go. I assume you are asking for suggestions for a wall paint color. What color carpet and curtains do you have in mind? Also, it would be very helpful to know the color stain (in any) used on your maple furniture. The chart below might be helpful.
Most important is your personality type. Do you prefer an upbeat, moderate or conservative decor? What is your favorite color?
15 years ago, my mother bought a house to be used for a daycare. Since this was its purpose, she has never changed much of the upstairs. Now she is considering/planning to sell and wants to paint a certain bedroom. The problem is, everything is pink. It came that way. It has rose colored carpet, pink walls, even the blinds are pink. She has no ability to color match in any way. I keep telling her, neutral tones and have managed to get her to listen after much arguing, with the downstairs rooms.
The house is in a depressed area and, as the realtor told her, there is "no" housing market here, so she is hanging onto it for a little while and is eager (too) to repaint all the walls in order to increase the chances of a sale, but has little money to put into it and seems to think it is just fine to paint all the walls of every room the same color. What would be a nice, neutral color to paint a bedroom that is not so gender specific and would possibly increase sales? It must match the rose colored carpet.
From what I have read, grey or greige is the new in colour, and a soft grey would go very well with the rose carpet. It is very gender neutral. With soft pink curtains and pink bedspread, it is quite feminine.
I have a comforter set that is white with black trim and a dark bed room set. What color should I do my walls and use as an accent?
Here's a thought. Comforter set-white, Comforter trim-black, Walls-mauve, Accent-maroon, Minor accent, antique gold.(Maybe a lighter mauve than shown here?)
Really, with the colours black and white, you could do your bedroom any colour you like. I always choose some shade of blue for the walls and then a matching shade of blue, a blue pattern, or white for the drapes. If you like you could go monochrome and choose a grey. Grey is a very popular colour, although I don't know that I would choose it myself, but it is very popular on the decorating shows.
What colour walls would match summer light yellow, orange, and green duvet and curtains?
By Di from Britain
Perhaps a very pale green or very pale yellow? I think very light green might be nice in a guestroom.
I have striped curtains grey, cream, and black and grey and black duvet covers. What would you suggest for walls? I have a light green in mind, would this look terrible?

What does your son say? Does he like green? I think you could let him choose. Green would be okay. I would choose blue, as would my sons, but white or pale grey would also work. Pale yellow would also be nice, but I'm not sure if it is what a young fellow would like. Might be better in a guest room!
My carpet is green, my curtains are blue and cream seashells and the bedspread is cream. What color should my walls be?
