A finished recycled hanger flip flop holder.I thought this would be an easy way of keeping track of your sandals. You can hang it in your closet. I'm going to put some flip-flops on it too. One hanger will hold about 3 or 4 pairs of flip-flops.

Total Time: It took me about 30 minutes.

I store high heels on one of my laundry baskets. I usually put the glittery ones on there to protect them from having other shoes squish them.

I've been trying for a long time to come up with an idea on how to store my many pairs of shoes. After a long time of thinking, I came up with the idea to store them on a chain.

So, I have this space under the stairs, as you can imagine it is oddly shaped, but I managed to fit a bureau under there, and I use the drawers for gloves, hats, scarves, random electrical things, like extension cords, light bulbs, cell phone chargers, etc. My question is, I also try to keep our shoes under there in a plastic bin, but it is hard to get to and I bang my head. Where and how do you store your off season shoes, like winter boots, work boots, etc.?

Assuming you do not need the shoes and boots in the warmer seasons, you can store them anywhere til needed-garage, closet, attic, etc. When needed-Try a shoe cloth or plastic shoe holder on a wall or in a closet for smaller shoes and a large tray on the floor for boots.

The tray can be placed in an out of the way area, if possible. You could also provide a small bench to put shoes on and take them off.

there is always those plastic shoe hangers for the back of the doors.... or you might put them in a plastic tote and store in your basement or closet. i have a wooden seat where the seat lifts p and i put sandles etc in there.

Have no more than two pairs, one for every day and one for dress up, and there won't be a problem.

I have limited space in my closet. Is it OK to store my shoes in one large brown cardboard/storage box? I was wondering if the shoes at the bottom of the box would lose their shape from the other shoes being stacked on top of them. Please advise.

Yes, it will squish them out of shape if they are on top of one another. I never liked shoulder pads in clothes so I would cut them out and stuff them in the toes of shoes to hold the shape. Also I would let them aid dry 24 hours before putting them away.

You need to find some way to store them without piling them on top of one another--some sort of shelving, even made out of boxes would help.

I bought this from walmart because,I also have limited space here in my one bedroom. I have this right by my front door because I remove them as I walk in.

Most of them come from them so my guess is yes. Speaking of shoe boxes, if you go to the local shoe place, most of the time you can get them for free. They are great for organizing smaller things you can't fit in your new home, but also for cd's, cassettes, stationary, etc.

Use your noodle, your swimming noodle that is. Insert it in your boots to keep them standing upright when not in use. This hint keeps them from falling over and getting crinkled.

Go to Dollar Tree and buy plastic tub size shoe boxes that they have. The bottoms are see through and the plastic lid helps keep shoes in good condition.
