Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients for the sauce.
Put the beef and breadcrumbs into a large bowl. Add the beaten egg and milk, and let it sit for a couple of minutes so the crumbs absorb some of the liquid. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Shape into 6 miniature loaves. Top with some of the sauce. Bake for 1 hour, brushing with a little more sauce once or twice.
While the loaves are in the oven, bring the remaining sauce to a boil over medium high heat, then reduce heat and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
Serve the loaves with the extra sauce.
