Homemade Adult Wipes

May 8, 2011

Homemade WipesI am a caregiver and I have found the price of adult wipes (like baby wipes) are expensive, so I make my own. I have saved so much money making these. All you need to have is patience and time.

You will need:

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and pour over wipes. If the wipes seem dry, make more mix solution as before. I personally go to dollar tree and get baby wash and baby oil.

Do you have to use the baby oil? Does that keep them moist longer?

This recipe from Thrifty Fun only uses 2T of baby oil for a whole roll of paper towels. www.thriftyfun.com/Homemade-Adult-Wipes-1-amp.html

No. New York City's sewers are clogged with these things and a Minnesota city is suing 6 companies that make 'flushable' wipes that have caused clogged sewers. You can check out these links: nymag.com/.../index1.html -and- www.startribune.com/.../301228331.html

If you don't think you'd put it in a septic system then best not to put it into the city mains.
