I have accumulated quite a lot of assorted greeting cards (birthday, get well, etc.) that I can't use, but surely someone can use them. Where can I send them by 3rd of 4th class mail? Thanks.
Anne
You can take them to a Retirement Center in your hometown. They will either give them to the residents there, or sell them in their little (recycle) gift shop if they have one. You could probably also give them to a women's shelter, or a church for their missionary program. Some churches have a room where they stock shelves with donated items for their missionaries.
You could also send them to "Samaritan's Purse." They would find a good use for them.
Where in St Petersburg Florida can I donate old greeting cards?
Any ideas where to donate unused small sympathy, thank you, and "in appreciation" notes with envelopes in boxes? They are from a funeral home that no longer uses these. I also have tons of prayer cards on 8.5 x11 sheets that are 8 up perforated with picture on the front and verse on the back.
here are lots of different ones. I hope someone can use these.Do you collect only the front part of the card or the entire card with writing?

Where are these cards to be mailed and how many can be sent? I currently support St. Jude's with a monthly donation and have an accumulation of cards for various occasions.

Does anyone know where I can donate used greeting cards?

St. Judes has a program. It is wise to visit their site so you know the kind they can't accept, saving them time and you postage. Here is this wonderful program.
I live in Twickenham TW2 7BS, UK. I am looking for a place to donate used greeting cards. Any suggestions?

Day cares, children's clubs, and schools sometimes can use them for arts and crafts.
I have used greeting cards to send to someone who can put them to good use for projects, etc.
I had a member of my family that worked for a greeting card company and received many cards that were never sold. I now have many cards that I would love to give away.
I just don't know who to give them to. Any help would be needed, I get more every few months.Dhere can I send old greeting cards in Dayton Ohio?
Is there a source for recycling used 1958/1959 wedding and shower cards?
Where can I donate old greeting cards near Minneapolis?
Some ideas on where you can donate old greeting cards:
Daycare centers love old greeting cards. They can use them for art projects for small childern. I do believe that Saint Jude's Children Ranch still accepts old greeting cards. You can also try to donate them to art and craft center. They could use them for different types of craft projects or even for bottle art. Other than this cut them up and make some name tags with them for the holiday season.
Looks like Open Arms of Minnesota may still accept unused birthday cards:

Cards are heavy and mailing to charities is nice, but what I have found is it is better to take a large or medium USPS mailing box (the one flat rate kind), and fill up a the box with them and then list the for sale on eBay.
I then use the proceeds either for donating the money to my favorite charity or for household expenses.
I am pasting a link of the sold auctions on eBay at the moment so you can get a feel for how to write the ad, photograph, price, and sell.

There is a huge market for old cards (used or new) with artists and junk journal creators. If your home is smoke and odor free be sure to mention this in the ad as it is a huge plus for selling.
Post back with updates on what you decide!
PS if you have not sold before, I can walk you through the process!
Where can I donate used greeting cards?
I would have said St. Judes but I believe they stopped it (says below)
Other places you can see may want used cards they can recycle to do crafts or make new cards are day care centers, shelters, local charity organizations even prisoners.
I have some really pretty used Christmas cards, birthday cards, and other greeting cards. I hate to throw them away, if I tear off the written part and just save the front of the card is there anywhere I can send them to be used for crafts.
etc.?
