My husband had the same problem, then I finally convinced him to go to a dermatologist. Not all acne and dandruff are the same so they can't necessarily be treated together. In the meantime, try old fashion lye soap for both the hair and face. If the dandruff problem is due to extra oily glands clogging the pores and leading to an infection, try this old trick: soak scalp in Listerine for 5-10 mins then use a stiff boars hair brush to massage the Listerine and loosen any stubborn buildup. Shampoo as usual and add an apple cider vinegar rinse. Try not to use a blow dryer as the warm air will just draw the oils back to the surface.

Absolutely see a dermatologist. You have had this for years, home remedies aren't working. A specialist can figure out what this and treat it.

They may need to take a sample of the discharge or do a biopsy, but don't mess around with it yourself.

I once asked a beautiful Asian lady about her skin and she told me that she smears an egg white over her face once a day. I tried it and it definitely tightens up the skin and removes all the dirt. Also have you tried Tea Tree Shampoo? One important thing also is not to squeeze any of the pimples because once broken they do spread. You may not realize that it gets under your nails and can be spread when you touch another part of your face.

I agree with the other posts about you needing to be tested so you can get to the root of your problem. You can't fix the problem if you don't know what the problem is.

Good Luck and don't give up, somewhere you will find your answer.

Hi there!

I would seriously look into the possibility of a parasite problem. Check out humaworm.com and I would also look into the use of ivermectin. I believe that there are very small worms (possibly a type of threadworm) that cause this. I don't know if you have the access to anthelmintics or herbs such as wormwood or blackwalnut, but it would be worth it find out. Also, anything like dandelion root capsules that help cleanse your system and detox your liver would undoubtedly be helpful. If the problem is coming from within your body, then treating it only on the surface just won't do the trick!

I have a friend with this problem. She cured it by rubbing milk of magnesia onto her scalp after washing her hair. She leaves the milk of magnesia on for two minutes and then rinses it out and dries her hair. After 3 or 4 days the acne was gone and did not return.

I f you have had this for years, and it is as bad as you say, please go to a dermatologist or at least your regular doctor. Home remedies are not going to solve the problem.

There are many effective treatments, but cider vinegar and egg white are not among them.

Chemicals contained in shampoos, conditioners, etc can cause all kinds of problems, including "acne" or breaking out but it's a reaction to the chemicals in the products. My grandson had problems like this due to chemicals in products.
JR Liggitts' makes shampoo bars which have been used for centuries, with no chemicals at all to harm you. www.jrliggitts.com I believe the site is, if not, google shampoo bars to find them.

What I did was then go to my health food store, who had never heard of them, but readily ordered some in. You will probably not like the way your hair feels the first time or so you use this. I didn't. It is because your hair is not being stripped of its own natural oils, which we are used to, due to always using liquid shampoos containing chemicals.

The only "chemical" is lye, which is a bonding substance used in all soaps; lye used to be made from wood ashes. And on your face, use glycerin or a natural soap which does not contain chemicals. I am very fortunate in that in a nearby neighboring town, they have a soap factory Sappo soaps and I can pick up soap ends for very little. These are all vegetable based soaps.

You can also easily make both yourself. Recipes are abound on the net. Shampoo bars, however, are a completely different make up than body soaps are! Good luck!

My Uncle developed the same thing and tried everything to get cured. He is very clean but he does wear a do-rag often. He had to go to a Dr. It was a staph infection, or a yeast infection, I cant remember which one. But with an antibiotic , it cleared right up.
