I have this gorgeous doll that I managed to get from a charity shop, but I have no clue what she could potentially be worth. I have tried looking things up about her, but cannot find anything out about her anywhere. I have tried looking up the barcode, none the less I still find nothing. She came with no name, but came with the certificate of authentication. Any help would be great!
Most of the porcelain dolls from the 1980s-today are almost impossible to find info on because the sellers (mostly flippers) have no clue about the dolls and when they try to sell them they list them as 14 inch porcelain doll or sometimes just porcelain doll or doll in a green dress, so trying to value by finding the exact one and its exact value will be a challenge.
Leonardo Collection dolls, in general, were on the low end of the collector market and original costs when new and are still on the low end of resale values today. Most sit unsold at $10 or less on eBay. Part of this problem is the shipping costs are through the roof and no one wants to pay $30 to ship a doll that they could buy for a few dollars at a thrift store.
I have not seen one of the 14 inch gals sell in a while so I am guessing if it was listed at less than $10 it may sell, but again, generally most all brands of dolls (unless a very rare French or German bisque doll all original and pristine) are very slow sellers and sell for very little money.
Hold on to her for a few years and she may appreciate it in value--everything comes around and I am hoping these (what everyone calls mass produced dolls) will too!
Please help me find out the name of this doll. The doll is approximately 30 years old. Leonardo Collection. Size 40-50 cm
Many Leonardo dolls did not have names and I know from selling them, when they did have names, they often made the same doll, same dress and gave her several names. They used common names at the time--Beth, Jessica, Hannah, Sarah, and Emily to name a few.
If she was given a name, it would have been on the hang tag or box. Sadly when I used to sell them in retail establishments, people would swap boxes and tags because their (human) Emily had brown hair and wanted a brown hair doll and the Emily we had on the shelf was blond, so Sarah with brown hair had her tags (and or tags and box) switched with the blond Emily's tags (and or box). We tried to catch that, but it was almost impossible.
Are you asking because you want to sell her? If so, the name is truly irrelevant. People want dolls by hair, eye, and dress color.

It is difficult to find names for dolls as not very many companies place a name on the doll and name tags go missing so often that only a few dolls listed for sale or sold will have a name for the doll.
Dolls were expensive in the late 80's - 90's and it's sad to see how low their value has dropped.
The saddest part is that very few dolls actually sell - no matter the style, brand, size or condition. Looking at eBay's sold listings of Leonardo dolls only 12 dolls have sold in the last 3-6 months.
There have been several sales of the Museum Collection but these dolls were not mass produced and originally cost several hundred dollars.
If you're thinking about selling I would have to say your doll's condition would lower even the 'average' selling value of these dolls.

I have a whole spiel about how dolls made in factories after the 80's do not have much resale value beacuse they were mass produced and on top of that the market is glutted with them.
This is about the doll's resale value in some hypothetical collectibles/commodities marketplace like ebay or whatnot
Insofar as being able to sell it to a person, it is very nice and has all the accessories so you could get $8 - $15 for it
If you were willing to sell it as a 'haunted doll' on ebay or etsy you could get upwards of $40 (true story)

It is difficult to identify and place a value on an item without more information - such as the information member PGHgirl has requested.
It seems several companies made very similar dolls.
I believe she could be either a Collector's Choice Series doll made by Dandee or a Timeless Collection doll or a Lasting Impressions doll as they are all very similar and have the same type of suitcase/wardrobe.
If your doll does not have a brand name on the back of her neck or paperwork/tags with a brand name then you would only be guessing as to which brand she might be. It appears that she is 12 inches tall(?).
All are relatively low value dolls and all collections were originally inexpensive dolls. All brands were sold in toy stores as well as K-Mart & Walmart but no high end stores.

As to value: I did not find an identical sold doll so I would have go with what similar dolls are selling for. This is difficult as only eBay shows sold listings and none were sold on this site.
The highest price for any of these brands is very rarely over $45-$50 and most dolls sell for S15-$25 (and much lower).
You have a nice doll so I would say you could start higher; maybe $50 and use best offer (plus shipping) and see how it goes. Sales are always unpredictable but as a general rule dolls are very slow sellers and many dolls are listed for months/years and may never sell.
Lower the price if you receive no offers.
I have these dolls 44 in total, Leonardo and Knightsbridge. Any idea of their value?
Dolls have to be individually researched to find a value as each doll is different in many ways even if the brand name is the same.
You will need to do online research for each doll individually to see if you can locate an identical doll as only a sold price will provide 'current value' as a sold price displays what someone was willing to pay for that item.
Several things will determine the value of each doll:
Brand
Size - measurements
Style (Victorian - American Indian - Bride - etc)
Condition - new or used/preowned
Also: new in box - new/no box - COA/tags
No one can just give a ballpark value for your dolls but it can be said that the majority of Knightsbridge and Leonardo dolls that sell usually sell for less then $25-$35.
You may have larger dolls that may sell for a little more but shipping will be very expensive so be sure you check out shipping costs before listing dolls for sale.
You can search for your dolls online - eBay is a good first stop. You can narrow your search by checking some of the boxes on the left of the screen - size etc.

Please keep in mind that dolls in general are very low priority on anybody's list and the market has been flooded for years. This just means that dolls are very slow sellers and many dolls are listed for sale for months/years and may never sell - even at very low prices.
You may be better off to try and find a consignment store that will display your dolls for sale. You will have to pay a percentage to the store but you would not have to do any shipping which could be the best part.
I have a Leonardo elite collection porcelain doll. 29 inches tall. Amy LP4176. Never taken out of the box and have authenticity cert. No 43/1000. Does anyone have any idea of the value please?

Dolls of all kinds are just not selling and the ones selling are being sold for such low prices it appears that some sellers are probably paying the buyer to take their doll.
If you do not find her name on the tag, box or doll then you probably will never find her name. Most dolls of this brand do not have names or names were on tags that are no longer available.
You can do research - especially on eBay - and find similar dolls but just remember that asking prices are not value prices but are the price a seller would like to receive for their doll.
Also, dolls are very slow sellers and some sellers keep their dolls listed for months/years and may never sell. I have watched one doll that has been listed for over 4 years and still no sale.
