Making Turkey Gravy

January 6, 2005

Turkey gravy in a gravy boat.No last minute fixing the gravy if you are cooking a whole turkey. Make stock from turkey necks and giblets, then use the Tone's Turkey Gravy Mix, restaurant size container purchased at Sam's Club, use the turkey stock instead of water. Quick and easy and very good homemade taste!

I separate the fat from the turkey broth or drippings. To thicken it, I mix can cream with the cornstarch. Let the broth come to a boil and whisk in the cornstarch mixture. Then at the end I do stir cream into gravy.
