After spilling milk in my car, I had a terrible time removing the odor, even after several attempts with carpet cleaning and Febreze. The only thing that worked was a cleaner I purchased at a vacuum cleaner store. The carpet cleaner contained enzymes to neutralize odors. I thoroughly sprayed the entire area, waited a day or two and then shampooed the carpeting. No odors at all!

My toddler spilled his milk in the car and it left a terrible smell. I tried Natures Miracle (enzyme cleaner) and Febreze which didn't work. The only thing that worked was wet vac, then a baking soda and vinegar paste left overnight with the windows cracked open, then wet vac again in the morning, then baking soda and wet vac one more time.

No smell, thankfully!

First, take the floor mats out of the car.
If they will fit, put them in your washing machine and wash with regular laundry detergent in warm water. I was able to fit mine in without folding. They don't move around much when the washer agitates, but they still get quite clean.
Then hang them out to dry.

If they won't fit into your washer, you can scrub them down with a mixture of either laundry detergent and water, or any other general household cleaner (Lysol, Spic & Span, Simple Green, Mr. Clean, etc.)
Hose them off and hang to dry.

This may help. I use cider vinegar in the bleach compartment of my washer when my towels smell sour so I'm wondering if a vinegar/water solution may neutralize the smell in your car. I would try spraying it down and sponging it up with towels a few times.

I accidentally left a gallon of milk in my car for a week, in the hot garage! It exploded...everywhere. I used a pet urine enzyme, it did Ok, but not great. Shampooed the car 5 times...it did better, buy you could still smell it.

Used a Skunk Enzyme from Pet Store...Did very well, but still a little odor left. Poured Rubbing Alcohol on the few spots that still stunk, finally...it's gone!

My grand daughter the a tantrum and jumped on top of a gallon of milk in my car. The gallon burst and the whole gallon spilled onto the entire floor of my brand new car literally. The smell off my car is so bad it make me want to vomit every time I get in. I've tried to clean it. The smell just keeps coming back. Please help me. It smells like something died in a car with less than 10000 miles on it. What can be done. Please help
