I feel very fortunate to live in North Georgia where we have a lovely year-round seasonal display of color. A wonderful friend recently asked me to join her for a day of outdoor enjoyment at Gibbs Gardens, where fall has splashed its autumnal shades everywhere and The Valley Gardens were spectacular as the season comes to an end.
Spectacular view of the fall leaf change in the North Georgia mountains from atop Brasstown Bald, the state's highest elevation at over 4700 feet.
This is my maple tree in my front yard with all the colors changing.
When entering the town of Warrenton, NC, you will see many beautiful old colonial homes. If it happens to be October, this maple tree will surely catch your eye.
I love this time of year in West Virginia. The colors of fall are so beautiful. I almost waited too long to take fall pictures. This is past their peak, but still beautiful.
This is one of my favourite fall garden pictures. I've used this and a couple of other garden views as computer wallpaper all winter. They've perked me up on those snowy days!
I took this fall foliage reflecting in a pond during our family trip to a place of worship.
In the complex I live in here in Salem, OR, I came upon a magical sight!
One thing I love about living in North Carolina is we get to enjoy the 4 seasons. However, I have had enough hot humid weather and I am so looking forward to cooler days and fall colors.
The red tree in the photograph is a dogwood that me and two of my children planted back in the 80s. It has provided many memories for us as I 'forced' them to help me dig it from the woods and plant it in our landscape.
