Early morning and the swallowtail had landed on the picotee sky flowers tree blossoms. It is as though the butterfly had posed for the photo, wings up stretched, body showing in the early light.
This Swallowtail Butterfly just came in and landed on our west garden fence one afternoon. I always have a camera close by in case something like this happens. Well, I got the photo, and I like it a lot.
While visiting Laverne Park here in Coquille, Oregon with my mother and little cousin, I was amazed to see these Swallowtail butterflies fluttering around the river bed right on the sandy shoreline.
