Keep packages of French onion dip or onion soup mix in your pantry. For flavor enhancement, sprinkle a tablespoon into homemade macaroni and cheese, cooked vegetables, or add to meat when making meatloaf or hamburger patties.

I am looking for a recipe my mom used make, it was goulash with a packet of Lipton's onion soup mix.
Thanks,
ED1 from TX
I cook 4-5 cubed steaks (frozen) with 1 package of dry onion soup mix and a drained can or mushrooms in the crock pot for 6-10 hours
When cooked, add a container of sour cream
serve over egg noodles
My family loves it
Brown & drain 1 lb. of ground beef. Add 1 package of dry onion soup mix and 2 cups of water. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir 1 tablespoon of cornstarch into 1/4 cup of cold water and slowly add to meat mixture.
I have the recipe somewhere.
Brown the meat. Blend tomato paste, water and a package of Lipton Onion Soup mix . Add to meat. Simmer for an hour and a half, covered.
Serve over wide egg noodles.
Sound familiar?
I forgot how much water.
I will write back when I find this recipe.

Sounds like the recipe I had and lost. Was the same except it had sour cream added at the end of cooking. We called it Hamburger Stroganoff
My mom used to make pan fried burgers with an onion gravy. The gravy was made with Lipton onion soup mix. It was kind of a sticky gravy, sweet and savory, little or no flour.
It was so good, I really want to make it, but haven't found any recipe close to it. Can you help?I think this is the recipe you are looking for:
