Keep sticky notes inside cabinet doors in your bathroom. When you run out or are low on an item, write it down.
Don't have enough space to store all your toiletries in the bathroom? Hang a see-through shoe bag on the back of the door. Everything slips right in and you can see what you need.
As a Mom to six I was tired of towels on the bathroom floor and everyone claiming that it was not them so I bought each child their own color towels. Now I know who is not hanging them up and they are not sharing towels when feeling ill as well. By Kriss M
Keep a shopping list in the bathroom to keep track of what toiletries and supplies have run out. Put it on the inside of a cabinet door and keep a pen handy.
Keep a funnel in the bathroom to use when draining contents of one bottle into another.
I have a bad habit of stockpiling toiletries because I never know what I have on hand or I know I have it and can't find it. I hung a pocket shoe bag on the inside of my linen closet and now put new purchases (and those from my stash) of shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. in the pockets.
I have a hook in the corner of my bathroom that holds my robe. When I finish my shower, I put on my terry cloth robe and by the time I dry my legs my body is dry too.
Some time ago, I purchased a wire, 3 tier hanging basket for my kitchen with the intent to put onions and potatoes in it. Finding that it was too long for the spot I intended it to go, I found the perfect place to use it, in my bathroom!
I'm a terminal pack rat. One of those people who is always buying stuff and then forgetting where I put it. Recently, I bought a 3 drawer rolling cart at KMart for $10.
Need more storage space in your bathroom for all of your toiletry items? If you're like me, your bathroom cabinet can't hold all of your beauty items and causes constant disarray.
Do less wash, buy each child a towel in their own color. When my 4 kids were growing up, I had a problem with them just throwing their bath towels onto the bathroom floor. I remedied this by buying each child their OWN towel in their own color. The rule was that they were each responsible for their own towel.
I have an open wicker bookcase that is oval shaped with three shelves in my bathroom. The shelves are deep and will hold tall items.
Assign a different colored nylon scrubbie to each member of your household. No more wash cloths to launder! A scrubbie creates a ridiculous amount of suds thereby reducing the amount of soap used.
I was trying to de-clutter the bathroom counter, and looked up to see this towel ring and thought "I wonder if these would all fit?" and sure enough they did!
I need some suggestions for organizing my (slightly large) bathroom. I need to organize shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and my makeup.
I always found my bathroom counter becoming cluttered with many items from hairbrushes, to deodorant, to body spray, etc. To minimize the clutter, I purchased a clear pocket shoe organizer that hangs over the door.
The other day I found a very nice, large canvas shoe caddy on the clearance rack at Wal-mart for $5. The package was missing is why it was on there. I have five kids and there isn't enough room in the bathroom for all of their things. I hung the shoe caddy on my kids' bathroom wall behind the door for them to organize their hair brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotions, etc.
I save the plastic containers that shower curtains come in, etc. I put all my hair products in one, all tooth paste and mouth wash and floss in one, all nail stuff in one, all perfume in one, all make up in one, and finally all hand cream and skin cream in one.
Each of our 3 children has a small plastic tote stored in our hall linen closet to take into the bathroom. They keep all of their toiletries in these totes.
For extra bathroom storage, add small buckets to hang on hooks under the medicine cabinet.
