Some people think that only used clothing and linens carry bedbugs. From what I heard on a radio show, this is untrue. Bedbugs can be in both new and used items, even linens in their original package. What they advised is to immediately put the items in the dryer for 20 minutes. Heat is what kills the bedbugs. I have been doing this since I heard this advice several years ago.
