Contact the IT department at your school. They will have access to many that are used. Tell them your situation and provide proof that you are a student at their facility. My University provided me one that way. Also, try sending out an email campus wide. Allot of students from overseas that are graduating do not want to pay the extra baggage fee on the plane to transport a laptop home. Especially, if they have one at home and are already at their carry-on and 1 suitcase limit. If you call your community thrift stores personally and show them your student I.d.

many will take your name and number and call you when one comes in. The IT department at your school will get it up and running with the latest and greatest. Also, try churches; many get donations from their congregation. It is a little bit of footwork but definitely attainable. One more option, post on your facebook page that you need one and that you are not picky on condition, as long as it functions, from there take it into the IT department. I guarantee one of these avenues will get you one. Good luck my friend.
