I have 108 inch long windows in my Victorian farmhouse. I buy my curtains cheap from ikea.com and they come to me in the mail. I haven't the energy or time to sew curtains. I got long lace curtains with scalloped edges for about $12 a pair a few years ago.

Some people make curtains from flat sheets or regular printed bedsheets. Cotton sheets work well as thermal curtains, plus they're a lot cheaper.
To make quick curtains just use sheets that are of a good quality 2-4 per window depending on how full you want them.
