I'm planning on starting a business working with clients who need help organizing, going through things, discarding, selling, giving away, etc. Ideally I would like to work with baby boomers, their families, and caregivers.
I know this post has been done before, but I am starting a new closet organizing business and really need help with a name. My target will be affluent women who really need help on organizing their closets and possibly their bathrooms (make-up). I want a really elegant, sophisticated yet catchy name.
I recently met a woman who has a styling, personal shopping, closet organizing business who goes by Wardrobe Mistress which I love. So something around those realms. I liked Organista until I realized it was associated with the piano and nothing with organizing. Help!I am looking to start a side hustle. My skills/talents are organizing, rearranging furniture, capsule wardrobe consulting, proofreading, decorating, and simplifying.

I like the Organizing Alchemy name, but I can see the unclear point. Maybe you could come up with a more clear business name and use the Alchemy as a sub title or catchphrase.

What would I do to start as a professional organizer? I know what it is and the NAPO membership, but how do I price a job? How do I estimate how long it will take?

I never ended up pursuing NAPO membership, but they might offer workshops or seminars to help you with this.

If you check out the Continuing Education page, there is one on Setting Rates. I found that one quite helpful. If you don't want to go that route, I can recommend a few tips:
- Find out what other organizers in your area are charging.
- Join a local chapter of an organizing group
- Find online forums/groups for organizing (check yahoo, facebook or even NAPO)

I am a professional organizer starting up my own business out in NJ. I am looking for ideas for a business name - something catchy, easy to remember, yet original. I will be doing complete houses (I'm not tied down to a specific area/room in the house) so the name can be something general that has to do with decluttering and organizing.
