I need an old fashioned fruit cobbler recipe, if anyone has one. I do not want one made with Bisquick.

this receipe comes from the south. one cup of self-rising flour,1 stick butter,1 cup milk,1 teaspoon vanilla. preheat the oven at 350 degrees until butter is melted. While the butter is melting mix the flour, milk and vanilla. Once the butter is melting remove from oven and put either a large can of peaches or 1 quart peaches.

Then take the flour mixture and pour of the peaches, return the pan to the oven and cook for around 30 minutes. you can use any fruit that you want.

Yes- you sure can. I always use whatever fruit I have. Canned mincemeat will be super easy. Make sure to grease your pan, and you may want to cook it at 325 for 55 minutes.
