I spent a little time on the internet to see if I could find out who produces it. I couldn't tell for sure but it is probably C.F. Sauer, which is located in Mauldin SC. Their website says "The privately owned company also sells mayonnaise, salad dressings, margarine and cooking oils under a variety of brand names, including Dukes, Sauers, Gold Medal, Bama and Mrs. Filberts." But it could be McCormick or another company.

Who is the maker of Walmart labeled butter?
Here is a quoted answer but I believe the products will have different product codes in different parts of the country as it is common with almost all Walmart products to have several distributors. Walmart works on contracts and these can expire (and not be renewed) and a different company chosen.
"According to the dairy code, it is made at California Dairies, Inc. - Visalia. According to the code 06-17652, that is where it's made. Most dairy products have the code somewhere on the package, including milk. Go and find where all your dairy products are from, regardless of which brand you purchase. You'll be surprised to find some of the "no-name" brands are products of the leading dairies."

Who makes their brands, specifically soups and broth?
One of Safeway's brand distributors is by far the largest known. It is Lucerne Foods. This is one of the store brand manufactures for Safeway. The rest of the store brands are manufactured at the same manufacturing company as other store brands use. They are called Store brand manufacturers. They are companies that large chain supermarkets go to to have their private labels added on cans of food.
In truth, there are thousands of companies that have hundreds of different categories for large chain stores to select from. The market selects it's product and the manufacture will add the label to this product and send it off to the store. So you see these are also generic store brand manufactures.
So if you buy one generic brand from Safeway, it is possible if you go to Vons and buy their generic brand they both come from the same Store brand manufacture. Only the labels added to the can are unique and the food in the can is the same for everyone who orders from them.
