Cleaning Cushions

Couch Cushions Being CleaningInstead of banging cushions together outside, just toss in dryer one at a time on low setting for about 5 minutes. All the dust from cushions and pillows will go into the lint filter and will save your arms from doing all that work. I also do this to stuffed animals, just be sure it is on air fluff and not long, otherwise some fur on stuffed animals will singe.

After cleaning my taupe microfiber couch, I stood the cushions up to dry. As a result, it left blackish areas at the front of the cushions, back and front. I know this was a result of the dirty water pooling at the bottom.

They were too wet from using the wrong method. Some of this could be from oil from dog hair, as I bought it from a friend who never brushed his Rottie or his sofa. Please help.

Try vinegar water. I had problems with water stains on the upholstery in my car and used vinegar water. I had to get the hole thing wet however as the first time I ended up with a water ring around the endge.

I would have it done by a professional, the cost of a good cleaning is still far less than a new sofa.

I clean ours with the upholstery attachment on my carpet shampooer. It does well.
