So there is this boy that I have liked since last year when I was a freshman. We have a winter dance soon called the Football Ball and the cheerleaders hold it. Can you help me come up with some cute ideas to ask him to the dance? Thank you.

Ok, so this is an idea that my friend used to ask his gf to homecoming. During class, he got a graphing calculator, and typed out "____ will you go to homecoming with me?" and she loved it and of course she said yes. (:
So my winter ball (winter formal) dance is coming up in about a month, and Im asking my guy friend, but i want to do it in a cute way, so I was thinking...the last home football game it tomorrow (10/2/12) and our high school logo is a mustang.
So I want to get him a mustang balloon, and get extra plain red and white (school colors) balloons, tie them around a football, and give it to him after the game, or put it either on the bench so during warm ups he'll get it as a surprise (of course I'll put his name on it so no one else takes it by mistake)
Here is what I did last year, I asked him through telephone. This year, I am planning to do a flashmob with some friends! Also, getting some baseballs, and writing "will you go to Sadies with me?". What should I do with the number 22 because he plays football and baseball. 22 is his football number!
I wanna ask out a dude that I know okayish, but I wanna do it in a kinda not cheesy way since he's not the kind to like that stuff.
Probably not cool to ask people to do things that they're not into. Dances are soooo high pressure. Everyone likes to eat though!
Ask him in private if he would like to go with you. If he likes you enough, he will participate in an activity he might not have otherwise.
You are so lucky to be living in a time when anyone can ask anyone to dances or on dates and it is all good! These time are so different than when I grew up! I like the progress!!!
So you say you know him okayish...so maybe you talk on the bus or in a class or in the halls or at at the mall. I say wherever you usually do your talking you could just ask. Something as easy as "maybe you and I could go to the (fill in the blank dance or movies or whatever you want to invite him to)."
If he says yes, that is amazing, if he says no, his loss ON THAT EVENT...but be sure to find out if he is saying NO to that event or he just wants to keep the relationship date free.
This is an important thing some people may not interpret right....the person may say no thank you to a dance, but if you say maybe we can get ice cream or go roller blading, the person says yes.
Dating in middle school times is very tricky as everyone matures differently and may not have the social skills to say what they really mean. I still remember that frustration like it was yesterday.
If he says no to everything date-wise then you can decide if you still want to keep his friendship.
I will tell you, I have stayed friends with boys who knew I liked them but never asked me out (it was unheard of when I was young for a girl to ask a boy out mind you) when I was in middle school and high school. You never know how things are destined to work out so just go with the flow and always believe in yourself and your worth!! You are wonderful and amazing and no other person can take that away from you!!
