Using a Turbo Oven

December 8, 2011

Turbo OvenThis is my first time using the turbo oven, I turned on the timer and temperature. After a few minutes I decided to turn the temperature higher by 15 degrees, the electricity just cut off from the main. I tried again and the same thing happened. Can anyone tell me what should I do? It is not a new oven, so I cannot send to the dealer to check on it.

Anytime something trips a circuit breaker or a fuse, it means the mains are being overloaded by whatever you have plugged in. There may be a short circuit in the oven wiring-something as simple as a crimped wire could be causing your problem.

First and most important-unplug this appliance from the mains and DO NOT plug it back in until someone with serious electrical handy-person skills has it apart to find the fault, it's not safe as it is now-could cause a fire.

If there is a small appliance repair service in your town you would be well served to have one of their technicians look at the oven. It won't cost you nearly as much as a fire would.

If the tech tells you there is nothing wrong with the oven, then you really need to get a licensed electrician in as soon as possible to find the problem in the wiring on that particular circuit. Again, you could be looking at a serious fire hazard, so don't delay this. Consider it an important holiday gift to you and your loved ones.

I bought a "Turbo Oven, Cook the Aeromatic Way" machine years ago. Just rediscovered it in a cabinet. Does anyone have any favorite recipes or comments, things to watch out for....
