I took this photo from the front door of my home in Panama City Beach, Florida. If anyone knows what would cause a cloud formation like this, I would love to know, as the weather on this day was normal.
I have a wonderful vista from my kitchen window and see some beautiful clouds. I live right by the beach on the West of England coast line and I'm sure that makes for some fabulous looking clouds as the winds come straight off the sea.
They told me the weather changes so fast in Montana, to be prepared for any kind - they did not however tell me to watch for the "eyes in the skies"!
We are located in a region known as the Palouse of Eastern Washington. The picture of this frightening storm was taken just outside of my home in Rosalia, WA on August 22, 2008.
The temperature was about 40 degrees and we had a snow shower that lasted about 30 minutes. No rain or snow was in the forecast. Afterwards, these weird looking clouds appeared in the East as the snow showers moved in that direction. I had never before seen clouds that looked like this.
I was able to catch a snapshot of a passing thunderstorm from far away. Being that it is a my camera phone, it turned out wonderfully in my opinion. I must have thousands of cloud pictures, but this is my favorite!
Sometimes even an ugly, traffic filled ride home from work can be beautiful. This was taken while sitting in traffic right outside of Chicago, IL. There might not be any flowers or wild life, but the earth will still show her beauty.
As evening comes and the weight of the day's pressure subside, we always search our minds for some small moment that makes it all worth it. On the days where there isn't much to find, somehow nature takes over and shows us.
I love watching the development of clouds. The weather offers an everchanging opportunity to take photos!
