I bake a pound of bacon at 400 degrees F for about 10-12 minutes on two foil-lined jelly roll pans.
When cooking bacon to use in a salad or other recipe, cut across the entire contents of package with your shears. Then fry it in a deep pan so it doesn't make such a mess.
