If your hair is long cutting it some may help. Often, it's the weight of the hair that makes it wave.

Long hair that is wavy usually is very curly when cut short.

Blow it dry using a paddle brush. While blow drying, brush up from the bottom (like from behind your ear, up over the top of your head to the other side)

I hope I can explain this the proper way! My hairdresser did this (and I can too!) and my hair is straight and silky.
You really do have to dry it completely; not just until it's damp.

Please send me your waves. I will gladly send you my straight hair in trade. U^u*U

You could save empty orange juice cans and jumbo bobby pins, and set your hair on these as curlers. For bangs, use a gel and stick your hair down (be careful not to frown until it dries). The orange juice cans can all be bound into a mesh scarf. This is the exact ensemble I was wearing when I was caught out after curfew in high school!

Now I'm very happy to have some waves in my hair. I wanted broomstick straight hair like California surfer girls, but now I know that swinging-curtain straight hair girls really want some waves!

Well my hair is really wavy and poofy at the ends. it look sorta a silly too. I wear it up in a pony tail once in awhile so, I know it cant be from over wearing it. I make sure I use only conditoner, because I know that shampoo can tend to do that to some peoples hair. I cut the ends every so on to make sure of no split ends. I never use harsh hair tools. I use moisturerizing serums and creems for it. I read almost everything you can find how to keep hair healthy. The only thing that i think might be against me is that i have WELL WATER! But if any one has any advise then please help me!

I've tried mixing glycerin into my shampoo, it works great.

I had my hair chemically straightened (Matrix Opti Soft) by a salon. On my way home I accidentally spilt a tiny but of water on the ends of a small section. I wiped it off as soon as possible.

5 days later I washed my hair for the first time. I then had fried and curly ends, where I can only guess, I dropped the water. I put a treatment on, but it did not fix it.

So I went to a salon and had my hair cut all over to remove the dead ends, and cut out the above said frizz. It was all gone and no more frizz. Washed my hair again, and now it's back. Same section of hair! Help?

Go back to the salon. It sounds like they skipped neutralizing a section. Spilling water on your hair should not cause this to happen.

Yes, but no more than a permanet. Follow directions carefully. Read the related sites first.

Yes, using a straightener will damage your hair-any chemical (including some shampoos and conditioners) will have an adverse affect on your hair especially if you use it over a long period of time.

I have wavy hair too, and have found over the years that blow drying it with the air stream directed down over the hair will kill the wave in a heartbeat, as will a straight, all over one length haircut-the longer the better to add weight to the strands and pull them down.

A layered haircut, however, takes the weight off of the hair and in doing so, releases the waves so you can get quite the curly look by scrunching as the hair dries. The shorter the cut, the springy-er those waves get, too, lol!

I have very dry and puffy hair. I have already damaged the tips of my hair by using a flat iron too much. I even tried permanent straightening, but it did not work. Please help; what should I do to get straight hair?

First use a shampoo for porosity control then go to a place and have you hair cut in layers this will help with the bushiness of your hair and your hair will lay flatter. I wouldn't mess with straighteners this will damage your hair I know I have been there and done that I have wavy hair too but getting the right kind of cut helps and the right kind of shampoo is even better.

How long is your hair? The more longer it gets, the more weight it will create, and it will help a little bit with "weighing it down." Tresemme shampoo and conditioner works great with making hair silky and smooth. I would recommend that. when you get out of the shower, avoid blow drying unless you have to, because that makes hair very poofy.

Also, when you get out of the shower, you need to put a anti-frizz serum in your hair. it's very good for your hair for moisture as well. afterwards spray a heat protectant spray in your hair to guard your hair from heat damage.

Wait for your hair to naturally dry then you can start the straightening. having a good brand straightener is the key to having really straight hair. I would suggest the Chi brand or Ion. Also, if you want really straight hair all over, you need to do it in sections and take your time. Do the very bottom first near your neck, and put the rest of hair pulled or clipped up on top of your head and keep pulling out pieces of hair at a time. Hope this helped.

My life long delima with straightening my curly hair has caused me to use many products and gadgets. I find a good blow dryer and round ceramic brush works best for me. Drying it in both directions, under and over slightly pulling at the roots. I occasionally use a larger size curling iron for straightening as a flat iron only leaves my hair flat and limp.

My hair is blond, baby fine and super frizzy with corkscrew curls. Most people like this style, minus the frizz. Just not me all the time. I use John Freida hair serum alone for everyday. ( I only wash every other day, helps the frizz.) For my curly days I also use a John Freida product, Dream Curls. It has great anti frizz abilities. Keep the ends trimmed to keep it healthy looking.

Good luck, I know you will find what works best for you.
