Water stains can usually be removed if the table/wood had a good finish.
Methods to try:
1.) Hairdryer: hairdryer set on low; place over stain and move heat around area to dry up the moisture; dry with soft cloth.
2.) Mayonnaise or white toothpaste (not gel) or petroleum jelly (Vaseline). Place a dab of one product on a clean cloth and rub the spot until you feel warmth as warmth is what draws the white mark out. Keep rubbing and checking to see how it's doing. Clean all remains away with another clean cloth. Try one and if that doesn't work try the next.
3.) Iron: I have never tried this method but read about it so you might want to give it a try. The complete procedure is lengthy so I'm going to give you a link that explains this method thoroughly.

Be sure to think about applying wax or some sort of protective cover after you remove the stains.

You can try a small amount of petroleum jelly and leave overnight. Then wipe off.

We got a freshly set one off with Murphy Oil soap and a white rag. Rubbed it out in about 10 minutes--very gently working it into the spot, wiping it off, rubbing it in, wiping off.

I remember my grandmother using Old English to do this with. You can try this or even Murphy soap works well.
