This is basically a "dump" type salad in that all the ingredients are eventually mixed together.
Mix first 3 ingredients together well and chill. Cook rice until tender and cool. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add rice and crushed pineapple with juice. Drain fruit cocktail and add to rice/pineapple mixture. The first 3 combined ingredients can be mixed in last with the fresh fruit. Pour into bowl and let jell. The salad is topped with the whipped cream after it has started to jell

I am looking for a light, refreshing, sweet two layer lime Jello mold with a cream top and a clear bottom. It consists of what I remember cream cheese, pineapple, nuts, and ginger ale or 7Up.
Can you help me locate recipe?Well those ingredients make it sound refreshing but I could not find a recipe quite like that but here is one very similar. I feel sure some of ThriftyFun's great cooks will have better suggestions.

Here is something similar. www.cooks.com/
My mom still makes this style dessert every Thanksgiving but she uses cranberries and pineapple and no nuts (hubby allergy) and she uses one of the red jellos because of allergies to whatever is in the lime one. She does it by memory so that isn't helpful because her handfuls and such won't help.
Here are two that sound like what she does---the first one instead of pears use 16 ounce can of pineapple.
The second one is for when you are out of soda:

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Cool for 10 minutes. Stir in pie filling and pineapple until blended. Transfer to a 9x13 inch dish.
How do I make Jello fruit salad using these ingredients: raspberry jello, pineapple chunks, cherries, nuts, and whipped cream?
By IF
I think I read something about not adding pineapple or it won't set up? You can prepare the jello, then when it's about half set, stir in the chopped nuts and cherries.
Heat first 3 ingredients until marshmallows are melted. Combine cream cheese and milk. Mix until smooth; add 1 pint whipped cream and add to first mixture when it is cool.
Mix dry Jello with cottage cheese until blended. Add all other ingredients. Chill for 2 hours.
Mix dry Jello, sour cream, cottage cheese and Cool Whip until well blended. Add drained fruit and chill. Can make 1/2 to 1 hour before serving.
The combination of apricots, cream cheese and pineapple in this salad is so good!
Bring water to boil, add sugar and pineapple. Add lemon Jello. Chill until partially set. Take out of refrigerator and stir in cheese, pecans, and Cool Whip. Refrigerate.
Pour juice off pineapples and let stand in refrigerator. Mix Jell-o and let stand 1 hour in refrigerator. Mix all the other ingredients together and add to Jell-o.
There are so many variations of jello salad, that it is easy to find a new one for your next dessert. This page has several variations of the classic jello salad.
The combination of strawberries, pineapple, and cream cheese make this salad great!
