RE: Removing Sharpie from Hair

Try pouring lemon juice over the area and sit in the sun for a couple of hours then wash off, or it might just wash out eventually. (03/10/2007)

You might want to try hair spray on a cloth then wiping your hair with the cloth. Really get the cloth wet with the hairspray. It works on getting permanent marker off of other things. Worth a try (03/10/2007)

RE: Removing Sharpie from Hair

Rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover generally works to remove permanent marker on surfaces. It might work for hair. (03/13/2007)

I say let her have fun with it after all it is only temporary it eventually will wash out I do it all the time and doing it since I was a teenager but my grandma told me a little trick and showed me a little trick when it comes to sharpie rubbing alcohol will remove sharpie I don't know if you want to put rubbing alcohol on her hair but hey doing her coloring her hair with a sharpie is just a way for her to express yourself just like picking out your clothes and like I said it's harmless but that's just my opinion so

Rub Crest tooth paste onto hair with sharpie. Rinse, repeat until gone (resulted may vary).

I used hair spray after applying Sharpie to my hair, thinking it would smooth the strands. Nope, it removed the Sharpie color. The alcohol must have dissolved the color. Maybe try that?

Hair spray works wonders but it leaves the hair solid so be prepared to wash it.

I would use isopropyl alcohol, 91 or 99% if you can find it.

The hairspray works but it takes a while and I also think it depends on what sharpy color you get in your hair, I used red shary to dye my hair and that just washed out with shampoo and conditioner and the same happened with a green sharpy but when I used a blue sharpy, all of it didnt come out with shampoo and conditioner, but the hairspray worked just very slowly

One thing I did that worked was I put hairspray in my hair then got a white dish rag wet and wiped it out but it does take some time to do it this way

I wanted to die my hair but couldnt I have blonde hair and I wanted to put some black sharpie in my hair and then I started getting worried that it might fall out I have really short hair and I only colored the small front part of my hair I put nail polish in my hair so the color would come out and it worked but does it stop it from falling out I put nail polish in my hair around 10 minutes after I put sharpie in my hair is that bad? Will it fall out?

Hi. Are you wondering what will happen to your hair if you put Nail polish remover in your hair? BTW my sister got sharpie in her hair so I recommend that you use crest toothpaste, hairspray , baking soda, or lemon juice.

Well if you Put nail polish remover in your hair it may or may not fall out since you put nail polish remover in your hair it can damage your hair severely and it may make your hair fall out.

Please do not puy any sharpie in your hair at all because it can damage your hair and if you use nail polish remover to get it out it will damage your hair and possibly make it fall out
