Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. poppy seed
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1 /2 cups oil
  • Advertisement

  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. almond extract
  • milk
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in bowl, mixing well. Add next 4 ingredients with 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract and 1 1/2 cups milk, beating well. Pour into 4 greased and floured 4x8 inch pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. Blend confectioners' sugar with 2 Tbsp. milk and 1/2 tsp. almond extract. Drizzle over loaves.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Beat together eggs, sugar, oil, and milk in bowl. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
