When I make spaghetti, I use a mix of spices that I add to my sauce, such as garlic powder, oregano, basil, crushed chilies, and sugar. I poured about one tablespoon full of each into a baggie and zip-locked it closed.
This is a dry mix that you put in an airtight container and store in a cool dry place. It might be a nice gift too, if you know someone who enjoys making spaghetti sauce from scratch.
This is a dry mix for spaghetti sauce that will keep up to a year and it makes a cup in total. Each batch uses 1/4 cup of this mix.
