I've been doing this, too. I use shampoo or body wash (about an inch in the bottom of the bottle) then fill it with warm water.

I do this as well but one word of caution - use distilled water instead of tap water when you refill to prevent germs from growing in your soap. =^^=

I make a big jug of it to refill my bottles. I mix 5 to 1. 1 cup soap to 5 cups water then shake till mixed. This way I have it ready to use.
