My tip is to recycle an old wheelbarrow into a lovely and useful herb garden. There is no weeding and many herbs are perennials. My husband was about to trash his old wheelbarrow and I turned it into a herb garden. Now I just go out the door and snip whatever I need for cooking or to dry.

Cleaning Cast Iron

Seasoned Cast Iron PanIf cast iron is rusty, use steel pads to remove rust and wash in hot Dawn detergent really well. Dry cast iron. I use cooking oil to season the cast iron; using paper towel, rub oil generously onto cast iron, inside and outside.

Glass bottles with flowers preserved in oil.Small wildflowers stored in mini glass corked bottles filled with oil. These were the last flowers in my yard this year. With the ground now snow covered, it's nice to have little reminders of sunny days around the house!
