This recipe was shared with me by my God Mother, Abadessa. Lumpia has been a staple at every party at my God Mother's house since I was a kid. In my opinion, she makes it the best and this is how she taught me to make it. That said, she never measures anything so this is as close as I can get to her recipe. Today I am going to share with you the standard meat lumpia recipe. Later, I will share with you a vegetarian recipe and even a gluten free recipe that I came up with for my nephew who has a gluten intolerance.

I learned this easy method of cooking the Boston Butt from my daughter. The meat comes out tender and juicy and it is so good. I chilled the broth and removed the fat and made gravy. This cut of meat is also delicious with barbeque sauce on it.

This is a recipe from my sister that my family has enjoyed for years. Her husband was in the Air Force and they travelled to many foreign places. She picked up this recipe in Germany.
Grease Measuring Cup for Sticky Ingredients

If you need to measure sticky things like molasses, syrup, honey, or peanut butter, lightly grease your measuring instruments first. This will allow the contents to slide right out without any fuss.

Grab Perishable Items in the Back for Longer Expiration Date
By 15mhhm15
When you purchase perishables, it is best to grab from the back if you want a longer expiration date. I am able to keep my milk longer before it could spoil, which works best for our household.

The recipe for these tasty dipping caramels came from a Farm Journal Homemade Candy cookbook I'd inherited from my mother. My 12 year-old son picked this recipe for me to "help" him make.

A Guide to Freezing Fennel. Fennel leaves will lose their crisp texture during freezing but will retain good flavor and be suitable for cooked dishes. Gently wash fresh leaves and blot dry. Strip leaves off stalks and either chop leaves or freeze them whole.
Keep a Sugar Cone from Dripping
Tired of your sugar cone dripping from the point at the bottom? Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice cream drips. It prevents the drips and is a tasty treat at the bottom of your cone.
