Netted Veggie Bags for Summer Outings
We are making up little beach/park/vacation/school trip bags with recycled netted onion bags. The kids keep all their things together by throwing their sunglasses, comb, sunscreen, sanitizer, change purse and incidentals in their own individual bags.
Caught unexpectedly without mayonnaise I had to whip some up quickly. I was surprised how easy and delicious it was!
Healthy Chia Bubble Drink
I add chia seeds into my green tea and other drinks. I soak the seeds for awhile in water until they have turned soft. It is a healthy addition for anyone, young and old!
Annie's New Bed Buddy

My husband got some thermal shirts that came in these zippered plastic bags and he decided to use them as mini greenhouses for his seedlings! I gave him additional ones that I had from some linens I had bought previously and couldn't bear recycling. I knew they could be up-cycled as something else!

Starting Seeds in the Snow
A class showed us how to start seeds in the snow! Simply punch holes for air and drainage in an empty gallon container, slice it partially open, but not completely. Leave a small section as a 'hinge' (See photo.) Fill with seedling soil and seeds, tape lid closed.
Pasta Measure to Strip Kale Leaves
After cutting the tougher stem off from my kale for salads and some recipes I decided to try to use my pasta measuring stick instead. Just pull the kale (or other tough leaves like collards I bet!) through one of the wholes and the stem is removed from the leaves!
