Make New Patterns From Old
I do sewing for a lady who wants everything made off the same pattern, with variations. I pinned her pattern to a percale sheet and traced all the markings onto the fabric. I've used this "pattern" for the past 6 years with no problems.
Seasoning Cast Iron
When seasoning a cast iron pan, I always heat the pan on the stove pot until very hot. Using a paper towel dipped in oil, wipe the inside of the pan, the sides, and the bottom with the oil.
When bidding on eBay or other sites, always check the sellers rating. If below 97, I check I check the comments from other buyers before bidding.
Contact Lens Case for Pills
Thoroughly clean an old contact lens cases to use for pill box. They keep a couple aspirin or other medications handy in purse or pocket. I also use them to store small brads and other tiny scrap booking items.
Window Cleaner for Red Carpet Stains
To take fresh red stains out of a carpet: My grandson spilled over half a glass of red punch onto my beige carpet. I immediately sprayed window cleaner over the stop and started blotting. I repeated the process until there was no stain left.
Boil Drip Pans To Get Them Clean
To clean the really cruddy drip pans from your stove, put them in a large pan with vinegar and boil the stuff off. Works like a charm, Just drop them in soapy dishwater and the come clean with very little work.
Buying Scrapbooking Supplies on eBay
eBay is an inexpensive way to stock up on paper and supplies for scrapbooking. I bought several packs of paper with 200 sheets for under $10.00, with shipping it was still cheaper than the Dollar Store or Dollar Tree.
